Carolina Elite Team Criteria & Definitions

The Carolina Elite Organization has set definitions and criteria that are utilized to group teams into 2 categories of competitive play - National and Regional. We believe all our teams are competitive and will only add and keep quality teams throughout the organization, regardless of team designation. Our criteria allows our teams, college coaches and sanction directors to understand the goals and accomplishments of each team for purposes of recruiting and placement o n the proper fields for top showcases.

National Teams:

- National teams play qualifiers, they have not earned bids for National events as of the time of their classification. They play in major showcases across the United States (Scenic City, Thunderbolts, Wburg Starz, Legacy Events, D9, TCS National Events, Colorado Fireworks/Sparkler/IDT, JO Cup, etc). In addition, these teams have a proven track record of placing players into college programs, and a steady following when they play at events. National Softball publications (FloSoftball,  Extra Innings, etc) recognize these teams and  players among the elite across  the United States.

Regional Teams:

- Regional teams focus less on qualifiers for ASA, PGF, and USSA, and focus mostly on playing in top tournaments in the Carolina's, as well as some of the top National level showcases (Scenic City as an example). In addition, these teams will also have great exposure playing showcases run by Bryan Pack, Carolina Cardinals and others with D1-D3 level schools from the Carolina's and surrounding states in attendance.
