Kama Norton and Alecia Hall Join Carolina Elite Organization

The Carolina Elite Organization is thrilled to announce the addition of Kama Norton as our Director of Softball Operations, and Alecia Hall as our Director of Media Relations.

Kama Norton

Coach Kama brings a wealth of experience in serving the softball community with passion and integrity. “Having known her personally from the recruiting trail for years while at UNCW, and most recently in her capacity of owner of Joy Coaching & Consulting, I was drawn by her passion, organization, and effective communication that I feel will elevate the Carolina Elite Organization to the next level”, says Dave Maddaluna, Carolina Elite Director.

Our coaches and players will greatly benefit from Coach Kama’s experience at the college level, which includes UNCW, James Madison, Presbyterian, and Greensboro College. Kama has been active in working and directing various camps all over the east coast for the last 18 years in GA, Alabama, VA, NC, and SC.

Most recently, Coach Kama has operated Joy Coaching & Consulting as a mindset coach and softball consultant to college and travel teams, as well as individuals. Her overarching goal has been to empower youth softball athletes with a stronger mindset, by growing the mental game, increasing awareness, setting goals, and taking ownership into one's self confidence and communication skills.

As Director of Softball Operations, Kama will work with Dave Maddaluna, and focus on developing and pushing forward the Carolina Elite Organization in multiple capacities, including development plans for teams, assisting Coaches in several capacities, integrating mental training and leadership training into the DNA of the organization, education for parents and athletes and character development skills for the athletes, community outreach, the advancement of the Carolina Elite recruiting office, creating and directing camps and other Carolina Elite specific events, and help us navigate expansion opportunities in the Carolinas and beyond!

Alecia Hall will join our program and will improve our social media presence. Her media and design work is spectacular and her contributions to various sports programs is impressive. “I have known Alecia on a personal level from living in the same community, and as a high school softball player. Having followed her as she went on to college and seen the absolutely amazing work she has done at UNCW, I am confident our capabilities will be unequaled”, says Maddaluna.

Alecia will work under the guidance of Coach Kama, will own our main organizational social media channels, and help establish a vision and uniform design for the branding, marketing, and content creation for Carolina Elite. We are particularly excited about a creative mindset joining the organization to create graphics for our teams, and we know Alecia’s expertise will help our athletes and families tell their story.
